Nina Dominique picked up silver in the 200-meter dash in 24.14. Lastly, the 4x400-meter relay crew of Dominique, Fitzgerald,
Sky Bleu Tyson, and Britton captured bronze in 3:47.25 – the seventh-fastest time team in program history.
Quoting Head Coach Delethea Quarles
"The ECAC Championships went well for us. Since this meet was very early this year, our focus was to continue our training cycle and prepare for the Sun Belt Conference Championships that will be held two weeks from now in Birmingham. We were happy with several performances as many performed their personal or season best, while others continue to change the JMU all-time record book. We were especially excited for
Kam'Dyn Thomas with an ECAC Champion crown in the 60 hurdles. Runner-up celebrations were
Mykenzie Britton in the 500 meters and
Nina Dominique in the 200 meters. The 4x400-meter relay team ended the meet with a good run for third. The team's performances certainly prove great momentum in our preparation for the Sun Belt conference meet."
