Why did you choose JMU?
I felt like it was the place for me to get to the next level.

What are your hobbies outside of baseball?
Fishing and hunting.
Do you have a nickname on the team? How did it come about?
Tater because my last name is Tate.
What are your goals for the season and what motivates you to reach them?
To feel up the strikezone and to throw gas, and the college world series motivates me.
Do you have any unique talents or skills?
I can juggle.
If you could hang out with one MLB player for a day who would it be and why?
Josh Hamilton, because he has gone threw so much to get to where he is at now.
If you could be on one reality or game show what would it be?
Fear Factor.
What was your greatest baseball achievement prior to JMU?
Hitting a walk off homerun to win the game my junior year.
Did you play any other sports in high school?
Football.
