As a freshman:
- Worked one inning allowing an unearned run in his JMU debut against Longwood
- Scoreless inning of relief in middle game of Hofstra series
- Scoreless inning of relief at VMI
- Posted best career outing and earned first collegiate victory with four innings of relief at Longwood allowing one run on one hit and keeping JMU in a tie game as Dukes rallied for 10th-inning win
- Five scoreless innings as the starter as JMU defeated Liberty 13-4 in the final home game
Before JMU:
- Prior to enrolling at JMU, competed during the summer of 2012 for the Baltimore Redbirds in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League, going 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA and seven strikeouts in 10 innings
- Played for Drew Crawford at North Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown Md.
- Senior year, named first team All-MVAL, all-county and all-area as a pitcher
- 2012 Washington County Pitcher of the Year
- As a senior was selected to play in the Brooks Robinson Classic All-Star game, Mid-Atlantic All-Star game and the Heartland Classic All-Star game
- During his senior year started 12 games and pitched 45 2/3 innings with a 1.79 ERA, 82 strikeouts and three no-hitters
- Helped lead the Hubs to the 2012 Maryland AAA State Semifinals
- Junior year, named first team All-MVAL, All-County, All-Area as a pitcher
- As a junior played in 9 games, started 8, and posted a 3.68 ERA with 59 strikeouts in 45 2/3 innings pitched
- Helped to lead his high school to 2011 Maryland Regional Runner Up
- As a sophomore was named Second Team All-Conference and All-Area as a pitcher while playing in nine games, starting eight, while going 38 innings with 63 strikeouts and a 2.88 ERA.
- Helped his team to 2010 Maryland AA State Championship
- Played club baseball for Allen Haines and the Mid-Atlantic Red Sox
- Helped the Atlantic Red Sox become 2011 Pastime Champions at the University of Pittsburgh and the 2011 Draftable Champions at the University of Richmond
- Also a member of his high school's honor roll, student council, Latin club and varsity club
