Max Carroll currently serves as the head equipment manager for Olympic sports at JMU. His responsibilities in this role are to oversee men’s and women’s soccer, track and field, cross country, swim and dive, women’s lacrosse, field hockey, and volleyball. He manages the equipment inventory and purchases equipment and apparel for the athletic department as well.
Prior to JMU, Carroll was an assistant equipment manager for the University of South Florida where he kept track of the equipment inventory and purchased new athletic equipment for the departments.
Carroll also has some sales experience as he was a sales associate for Joseph A. Bank Clothiers and a group sales intern for Frederick Keys. He worked at both of these companies over the summer of 2010.
Carroll graduated from the University of Tampa in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in sport management and a minor in business administration. During his undergraduate career he gained a lot of experience as he was the head student manager for the men’s basketball team for all four years as well as a student manager for the USF football team for two years. He also held a couple internship positions which included being an equipment intern for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for six months and an equipment manager for the Tampa Bay Rowdies for five months.
