- First-year Duke who started each of the team's games first seven games. Returned to the starting lineup for the Jan. 2 game at Northeastern. Used off the bench Jan. 14 at William & Mary and returned as a starter for two games Jan. 16 vs. George Mason. Used off the bench at Towson Feb. 8 after three straight starts and returned as a starter Feb. 10 vs. Old Dominion.
- Blocked a JMU-freshman-record 37 shots, breaking Steve Stielper's (1976-80) mark of 34 in 1976-77, JMU's first Division I season. Set the season mark during a five-block effort vs. Drexel in the CAA Tournament. Ranked 10th in the CAA in blocked shots per game (1.2)
- At Canisius had six points and a career-high-tying seven rebounds in 23 minutes.
- Vs. Old Dominion Feb. 10 had six points, his most in 13 games. Had two rebounds, a block and a season-best two steals.
- Vs. VCU Feb. 13 had nine points, five rebounds and two blocked shots and steals in 27 minutes, his most playing time in 14 games. Played 20 second-half minutes.
- At George Mason had five points and three rebounds. Had a three-pointer to get JMU to within 69-66 with 0:53 left.
- In a season-best 36 minutes at Northeastern had 10 points and three rebounds. Hit on five of nine shots.
- Played 34 minutes in JMU's opener at Ohio State and had seven points and six rebounds.
- Matched his then-season high and led JMU with six rebounds vs. Murray State. Blocked a then-team-season-best four shots and had a steal.
- Vs. Maryland-Baltimore County had six points, a rebound, an assist, a block and a steal. Had his first career three-pointer.
- Vs. Norfolk State in 26 minutes had season highs of 11 points and seven rebounds. Had an assist and a steal.
Before JMU
- Enrolled at JMU for the fall 2009 semester after originally committing to the Dukes after his scholastic senior season of 2007-08.
- Was a two-year starter at Eastmoor Academy in Columbus, Ohio, as a sophomore and junior before playing at Helen Cox (La.) High School as a senior.
- Averaged 13 points and seven rebounds for a district, regional and state title team at Helen Cox.
- Averaged nine points and five rebounds for Eastmoor Academy's City League South championship team as a junior.
- Competed in cross country and as a distance runner in track and field at Eastmoor Academy.
- Appeared as body double in Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire Assistant, which was filmed in Louisiana.
