Meghan Kalenborn joined the Athletic Communications department at James Madison as a Communications Assistant in July 2024.
In her role, she serves as the secondary contact for JMU football and women's basketball and is the primary media relations contact for the Dukes’ softball and spirit teams.
Prior to her move to Harrisonburg, Kalenborn worked as a student assistant for three years within the Strategic Communications department at UCF. She aided with the day-to-day and game day duties of all UCF’s 16 sponsored sports but worked closely with baseball, softball and men’s basketball. In her time there, she also helped host the first ever NCAA Orlando Regional in school history in 2022, when the Knights’ softball program held the No. 16 seed nationally.
Along with her time within Strategic Communications, Kalenborn was also part of UCF Production as a sideline reporter for the Knights on ESPN+ broadcasts for the 2023 season.
A native of Long Island, N.Y., Kalenborn graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in visual communication and minors in journalism and sport business management in May 2024.
