Ken Goglas, who joined the JMU staff as an assistant coach in August 2006, has a variety of experience coaching at both the youth and collegiate level. Â He has been involved in the sport since 1988.
Goglas came to JMU from GeorgiaState, where he was an assistant men's and women's track and field and cross country coach from 2004-06.
As an undergraduate at UConn Goglas competed for both the track and field and cross country teams (1999-2004). He earned All East honors as a member of the Huskies' indoor distance medley team in 2004.Â
Goglas was also a member of three Big East Championship teams (indoor track in 2002 and 2004 and outdoor track in 2002). Â He also received Academic All-Big East honors all four years at UConn.
Goglas earned a bachelor's degree from UConn in coaching in 2004 and a master's degree in sports administration from GeorgiaState in 2006. Â He also holds a level 1 coaching certification from USA Track and Field.
