2008: All-conference (CAA) second team. All-state (VaSID) second team. North-South Senior All-Star Game. Second on team in ground balls and draw controls and third in caused turnovers. JMU’s Team's Co-Most Valuable Player. Conference (CAA) Commissioner's Academic Award. JMU Athletic Director Scholar Athlete.Â

2005: Played on Mid-Atlantic 3 team at U.S. Lacrosse National Tournament. JMU Most Improved Player award.Â

High school and club: All-National District first team as a junior and senior and second team as a sophomore. Two-time All-Northern Virginia Region. The Majors were National District lacrosse champions 2003. Played for Mid-Atlantic team in U.S.W.L.A. National Tournament 2003. Played on Virginia Elite lacrosse team as a junior. Also played field hockey, basketball and ran track, and was all-district in field hockey and track. The Majors were National District track champions 2003 and field hockey champions 2001.
Personal: Brigid Strain. Graduate student in kinesiology. Earned a bachelor's degree from JMU in sports management and a minor in business in May 2007. Her sisters, Cathleen and Shannon, played lacrosse at Longwood.
