Why?; She is someone that I have always looked up to. She is an amazing mom, sister, and best friend. She has helped me become the swimmer that I am today.
JMU Highlights: As a senior, won the 50 free, 100 free, and 200 free relay at VT... first in 50 free and 100 free at Mason...won 100 free, second in 200, second in 50 vs. Towson and UNCW... fourth in 100 free, ninth in 50 free, 18th in 200, eighth in 200 free relay... at Terrapin Cup... won 50 fly at Princeton... won 50 and 100 free at Delaware while swimming on victorious 400 free relay... won 50 free, 200 free, 200 medley relay, and 400 free relay at Delaware... won 400 free relay at W&M... third in 50 free, fifth in 100 free, 13th in 200 free at CAA Championships... fifth in 400 free relay, fourth in 200 free relay at CAA Championships... as a junior, won the 400 freestyle relay with teammates against GW and La Salle...won the 100 freestyle versus Towson and UNC Wilmington...won the same event against Radford and Delaware again won the 100 freestyle against College of Charleston and ODU as well as helping win the 200 freestyle relay against the same opponents...Had a great showing in the CAA Championships winning the 100 and 200 freestyle individually...also helped JMU finish second in the 200 freestyle relay as a junior...Team’s Most Valuable award as a sophomore... set individual records in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle and was a member of the record-setting 800 freestyle relay... in the CAA as sophomore, finished second in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyles and 800 freestyle relay, third in both the 200 and 400 freestyle relays and fifth in the 400 medley relay... earned CAA Swimmer of the Week honor on 1/22/05... had 12 first-place finishes in various events during dual meets as a sophomore... as a freshman was seventh in the 50 freestyle, ninth in 100 freestyle and 800 freestyle relay as the CAA meet... fourth in 200 freestyle and medley relays and third in 400 freestyle... registered eighth first-place individual finishes... helped set pool record in 200 freestyle relay.
Before JMU: Two-time Central Region Swimmer-Of-The-Year... MVP of her high school team both junior and senior years... team record-holder in the 50 and 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke and the 400 freestyle relay... coached by Karen Seeber... ran track her freshman and sophomore years... also swam for Team Richmond Athletic Club and coach John Smithson.
