MEN'S GOLF FINISHES 6TH IN FINAL FALL TOURNAMENT

NAGS HEAD, N.C., Nov. 1, 2006 - The James Madison University men's golf team completed its fall schedule with a 6th place finish out of 18 teams at the ODU/Seascape Invitational. The Dukes shot a 285-294-579 on the par 70, 6,131 yard course, just two strokes behind 5th place Radford.
Sophomore Fielding Brewbaker (Salem, Va./Salem) led the Dukes carding a 70-73-143 to finish tied for 17th out of 92 competitors.
Senior Joe Scheffres (Rockville, Md./Landon Prep) tied for 28th place scoring a 72-73-145 to finish his fall season.
Senior Michael Chupka (Midlothian, Va./Clover Hill) finished the tournament shooting a 74-75-149.
Sophomore Tim Driver (Harrisonburg, Va./Spotswood) completed a good first round where he finished tied for tenth and struggled in his second round shooting a 69-86-155.
The defending champion of the ODU/Seascape Invitational, junior Scott Marino (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) finished his fall season carding an 84-73-157.
