RICHMOND, Va., Sept. 5, 2006 -- Four players scored for the James Madison women's soccer team as the Dukes beat Richmond 4-2 Tuesday night at UR's First Market Stadium.
The Dukes recorded their first win of the year against three losses. Richmond dropped to 0-4.
JMU got goals from senior
Sarah Cebulski (Manotick, Ontario/St. Mark's), junior
Laura Hertz (Newport News, Va./Woodside), freshman
Corky Julien (Williamstown, Ontario/Char-lan District) and sophomore
Kimmy Germain (McLean,Va./Langley).
Richmond freshman Kristen Stalter scored both of the Spiders' goals and gave UR a 1-0 lead with a goal off a free kick just outside the penalty box 22:04 into the match.
A little over eight minutes later, Cebulski scored on a breakaway to tie the game at 1-1 at the 30:30 mark.
In the early going in the second period JMU exploded for three goals in less than 10 minutes to go up 4-1 with 30 minutes left to play.

Laura Hertz (Newport News, Va./Woodside) scored at 50:46 off a pass from junior
Annie Lowry (Butler, Pa./Butler). Then freshman
Corky Julien (Williamstown, Ontario/Char-lan District) netted the Dukes' third goal at 58:39 on a shot from six yards out. Just 1:21 later Lowry got her second assist as sophomore
Kimmy Germain (McLean,Va./Langley) scored JMU's fourth goal of the night.
The final goal of the game came just 1:26 after Germain's goal, when UR's Stalter scored on a breakaway.
For the game JMU held a 19-10 advantage on shots.
JMU red-shirt freshman goalkeeper
Missy Reimert (Lenhartsville, Pa./Kutztown) made four saves. Richmond goalkeepers Erin Iman and Kate Hudson combined for eight saves.
