TOWSON, Md., Sept. 28, 2008 ? James Madison scored two first-half goals and posted a 2-0 victory over Towson in Colonial Athletic Association women's soccer Sunday afternoon.
The Dukes improved to 5-3-2 overall and 1-1-0 in CAA play. Towson's record is 3-6-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the CAA.
JMU struck twice in a span of less than six minutes midway through the opening period.
Senior Kim Germain helped set up both goals.
Her pass to sophomore Teresa Rynier (Leola, Pa./Conestoga Valley) led to a goal by Rynier at 26:41.
Minutes later, Germain and junior Ashley Flateland (Fox Island, Wash./Gig Harbor) were credited with assists on a score by freshman Lisa Heise>
