BLACKSBURG, Va. – The James Madison women's tennis team is set to compete for three flight titles tomorrow, Oct. 5, on the final day of the Hokie Fall Invitational after a solid second day of competition.
"Today we competed very well," Head Coach James Brycesaid. "The conditions were tough outside, but we battled well. Just like yesterday, we let some sets slip away but overall we did a good job. Cara and Rachel get to play in their flight finals, and we have some intrasquad matches that will be great to watch."
Sophomore Rachel Nelson(Big Prairie, Ohio/West Holmes) and junior Cara Wirth(Reading, Pa./Wilson) will compete for the Flight 'D' Singles and Flight 'E' Singles titles respectively. Freshman Kimmy Herrock(Tarpon Springs, Fla./East Lake) and senior Sarah Khan(Islamabad, Pakistan/Overseas Pakistani Foundation College) will battle for the Flight 'C' Doubles championship.
