JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The James Madison women's golf team moved up two spots in the final round to tie for ninth at the 2014 UNF Intercollegiate, March 10-11. The two-day, 54-hole tournament, hosted by the University of North Florida, was played at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club (Par 72 – 6,144 yards) in Jacksonville, Fla.
Playing with just four players due to a late individual withdrawal making all four players count, the Dukes continued their improvement by slicing another 13 shots off their second round score and 26 off their first to a 21-over 309, with all four players in the 70s, to finish at 966 in a tie with Southern Illinois. Host UNF was third at 933, with Eastern Kentucky at 941 and Old Dominion at 944 rounding out the top five teams.
