STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – James Madison men's tennis was upended at Penn State on Sunday, falling 7-0 on the road.
The Dukes (3-3) were swept by the Nittany Lions (5-1) in doubles action, giving PSU the 1-0 lead heading into singles play. Penn State then took each of the six singles matches in two sets.
Junior Theophile Lanthiez and freshman Paul Mendoza each took their opponents the distance of 7-5 in at least one set. Freshman Tate Steinour took his first singles loss of the spring with a 6-3, 6-0 decision against Marc Collado at the No. 6 position.
