BETHPAGE, N.Y. – James Madison cross country finished fifth at the Colonial Athletic Association Cross Country Championship at Bethpage State Park on Friday morning. The Dukes had one top-five runner in the race.
RACE RECAP
- William & Mary reclaimed the CAA Championship after the Dukes snapped their five-year win streak in 2017. Elon finished second just two points behind the Tribe.
- Senior Erica Jackson won All-CAA honors with her fifth-place finish. Her 21:27.10 time was the fastest 6K time for the senior and best individual finish.
- Eight JMU runners posted personal best efforts in the Championship
- Kayla Connelly has posted three-straight 6K PRs in her past three races with her 22:01.70 being her new personal best.
- Both Sophie Bollinger and Grace Edison posted their first 6Ks under the 23-minute mark
- Sinead Sargeant and Katie Fox posted their first 6Ks under the 24-minute mark
