FARMVILLE, Va. – James Madison women's tennis bounced back from its only consecutive losses this season with a resounding 7-0 victory over Longwood on Thursday afternoon.
The Dukes improved to 18-3 on the year, while the Lancers fell to 8-9.
In doubles play, JMU used 6-3 victories at No. 1 from junior

At No. 1 singlesÂ
Anna Makarova continued her impressive freshman campaign with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Longwood's Yulia Almiron. Makarova improves to 14-3 on the dual season and has won 11 consecutive matches.
At the No. 3 position junior
Emma Petersen quickly dispatched Lancers sophomore Jamie Breunig 6-4, 6-1 to increase the JMU lead to 3-0.
Sophomore
Jona Roka finished off the Lancers following a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles to claim match point for the Dukes.
Straight-set wins from seniors
Kimmy Herrock (7-6(4), 7-6(3)) at No. 6 and
Dylan Owens (6-3, 6-1), along with a three-set come-from-behind victory from Kluska (4-6, 6-2, 6-4) completed the Dukes' 7-0 sweep.
