QUOTING DAVE RINKER
"Miranda just ran unbelievable. We've come here a lot and that was the second-fastest time ever by a JMU runner for the 6K course. Only Alison Paris has run faster on this course. She personifies race intelligence. She passed four people in the last 500 meters and all four of those people are really good.
Â
The rest of the team, I thought we had some breakthrough races for the season. We had a few people who didn't have their best day today, so we need to figure out how they can have their best day when we need it. It's such a different race than we run the rest of the year. When the gun goes off and you have almost 400 people getting out crazy, you never know where you are in the race unless you're one of the top 20 or 30 people. As we get to conference, and even to Penn State, it'll be a smaller field, which will allow us to get into our groups and run off each other, and I think that will help us a lot."
