YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – James Madison men's tennis suffered its first setback of the spring, dropping a 5-2 decision to Youngstown State on Sunday afternoon at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.

The Dukes fell to 6-1 this season, while the Penguins improved to 4-5.

YSU gained the early 1-0 lead with a pair of 6-2 victories in doubles on courts one and three.

In singles play, the Dukes evened the score, as
Mathieu Josserand cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 triumph against Erik Gran on court six.

JMU gained the match lead on court three when
Youssef Sadek held off Javi Pla, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.

The Dukes also held set leads on courts one, two, four and five but the Penguins rallied in each match, winning in three to claim the 5-2 home win.
