FAIRFAX, Va. – The James Madison track & field program recorded five event victories at George Mason's Dalton Ebanks Invitational on Saturday night.

In the field, the Dukes picked up wins the morning from graduate studentÂ
Skyla Davidson in the triple jump at 12.41m (40' - 8.75") and senior
Shelby Staib in the javelin at 46.29m (151' - 10").
On the track, sophomore
Holly Mpassy led a sweep in the 400-meter dash in 55.19, followed by classmate
Sofia Lavreshina (55.89 - PR), and freshman
Kadence Wilson (56.46). Freshman
Asia Powell took home the 100-meter dash crown with a time of 11.78, her first collegiate outdoor victory. Lastly, the 4x400-meter quartet of Wilson, senior
Arianna Eberly, Lavreshina, and Mpassy ran to a tune of 3:49.65.
How it Happened
Track Events
- Eberly clocked in a personal-best 57.44 in the 400-meter dash for fifth.
- In the 200-meter dash, sophomore Virginia Keys finished in a career-best time of 25.22.
- JMU notched a 2-3 finish in the 100-meter hurdles with sophomore Jordyn Henderson (14.09) and Davidson (14.47 - PR), respectively.
- Sophomore Kaia Putman took third in the 100-meter dash with a PR of 12.16.
- Senior Maddy Hesler finished the 3000-meter steeplechase in a personal-best 11:10.67.
- Junior Miranda Stanhope set a career-best time of 4:30.56 in the 1500-meter race for silver. Meanwhile, senior Laura Webb produced a PR of 4:36.95 in the competition.
Field Events
- Junior Jordan Venning rounded out the top five in the triple jump with a mark of 11.68m (38' - 4").
- Senior Rachel Lloyd finished runner-up in the pole vault at 3.68m (12' - 0.75").
- In the discus, sophomore Jaiden Martellucci threw 43.15m (141' - 7") for sixth, close to her career-best effort of 43.48m (142' - 8").
- Freshman Gracen King (third) and senior Bethany Biggi finished (tied for fifth) recorded heights of 1.57m (5' - 1.75") and 1.52m (4' - 11.75"), respectively, in the high jump.
- Freshman Jenna Callan produced a mark of 5.44m (17' - 10.25") for fourth in the long jump.
Relay Events
- The Dukes' 4x100-meter relay crew of Putman, Powell, Henderson, and Mpassy finished third in 47.52.
