Annie Smith of James Madison volleyball were named to the 2024 Sun Belt Volleyball All-Conference teams on Wednesday afternoon, with Reid being named to the First Team and Smith taking home second-team honors.

Reid, an outside hitter from Georgetown, Del., sits second in the Sun Belt and 15th nationally in kills per set (4.54) and seventh in the SBC in kills (322), despite playing in only 71 sets this season. She has finished with 20 or more kills in a match eight times, including a career-high 30 versus South Alabama on Nov. 2. She also finished with 135 digs (1.90 per set) and tallied seven double-doubles.

Smith enjoyed a career year in 2024, as the middle blocker has set single-season career-highs in kills (2.32) while leading the Dukes in total blocks (104.0) and hitting percentage (.326). Her 104.0 blocks and hitting percentage of .326 rank tied for seventh and sixth, respectively.

The Dukes will open the 2024 Sun Belt Volleyball Championship on Friday, Nov. 21 at noon against Texas State. The match will be televised on ESPN+ with Andrew Beyer, five-time U.S. Olympian Danielle Scott, and JT Crabtree on the call.
