Cross Country Completes Time at Hokie Open

BLACKSBURG, Va. – James Madison cross country completed its final tune-up at the Hokie Open on Friday afternoon on the Buford Meredith Cross Country Course.

Izzy Greene paced the Dukes in 14:49.4 for 10th, followed by Sidney Walters in 15:19 for 12th. Elizabeth Rainey was 13th with a personal best of 15:30.0, while Grace Tate (14th – 15:38.0) and Faith Ford (15th – 16:09.9).

"Proud of our team's efforts today. Izzy Greene, Sidney Walters, and Elizabeth Rainey led our team effort with really strong races, with Ellie [Elizabeth] running more than a full minute faster than she did last year at this meet. Also so proud of senior Riley Schindel, representing JMU in her last college cross country race. She has stepped up for our team in so many ways this season. Overall, this was a great meet to lead our team into regionals and the upcoming track season."
