STATESBORO, Ga. – After a delay lasting more than 24 hours, James Madison men's tennis was never to find a rhythm, falling 4-0 at Georgia Southern in Sun Belt Conference action Saturday afternoon at the Wallis Tennis Center.

The Eagles improved to 8-7 on the year and 2-0 in Sun Belt play, while the Dukes fell to 7-8 overall and 0-3 in league outings.

Southern captured the doubles point with wins on courts one and three, while claiming a trio of straight-set victories in singles play to upend JMU.

- Georgia Southern extended the lead to 2-0 on court four. Williams had a solid second set en route to a 6-4, 6-1 victory against Francisco Sinopoli.
- Over on court one, the lead grew to 3-0 when Paliouras bested Youssef Sadek, 6-2, 6-2.
- The Eagles clinched the match on court six, as Laurent Julia Calac fended off Edson Sanchez, 6-2, 7-5.
- JMU was tied on one court, as Lozano and del Castillo tied at 3-3 in the third set after the GS No. 2 player took set one and Lozano evened things in the second.
- Giersiepen also forced a third set on court five but trailed early in the third when the match concluded.
