CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The James Madison women's golf team wrapped up play at the Cavalier Regional Preview on Tuesday afternoon.
Freshman
Hannah Rabb (78-74-74) led all Dukes with a tie for 36th on the 71-player leaderboard as she posted a career-best three-round score of 226 (+13) at the par-71, 6,320-yard Birdwood Golf Course.
As a team, JMU tied for 11th in the 12-team field with a 54-hole tally of 922 (+70) while battling the wet and rainy conditions. North Carolina ran away with the team title, finishing 21-under par across their three rounds with five top-10 finishers.
Lauren Waxer-Gooding carded rounds of 74-76-80 to finish with a three-round aggregate of 230 (+17) and in a tie for 45th, while junior
Maria Atwood (79-75-78) finished tied for 50th with a score of 232 (+19).
Isabella Flores (78-77-81) and
Tatum Walsh (82-74-82) finished 58th and t-61
st, respectively, to round out the JMU contingent over the mountain.
