Tatum Walsh recorded an ace, freshman
Hannah Rabb notched a career-best tie for 29th, and the James Madison women's golf team wrapped up its weekend at the Evie Odom Invitational on Sunday afternoon.
Walsh, playing as an individual, recorded a hole-in-one on hole No. 17 during her Sunday lap of the par-70, 5,824-yard Princess Anne Country Club. In a 78-player field, Walsh tied for 32nd with a 54-hole score of 220 (+10), carding rounds of 73-76-71.
Rabb continued her solid start to her collegiate career, as her tie for 29th and three-round score of 219 (+9) marked career bests. Rabb also fired a one-over-par 71 in the first round, the best single-round of her career. She tallied a 76 (+6) and 72 (+2) in her second and third rounds, respectively.
Maria Atwood and
Isabella Flores matched 54-hole scores as the duo tied for 58th at 228 (+18). Atwood managed rounds of 79-72-77, while Flores produced three solid scores of 77-76-75.
Lauren Waxer-Gooding (231, +21) tied for 67th while
Kayleigh Reinke (233, +23) placed 73rd to round out the JMU lineup.
College of Charleston picked up team and individual titles, as Emma Schimpf paced the field with a 54-hole score of 200 (-10). The Dukes finished 14th out of 14 teams in the tournament with an overall aggregate of 903 (+63).
