GULFPORT, Miss. – The James Madison women's golf team concluded its opening tournament of the spring on Tuesday, competing at the Great River Cup.

JMU finished eighth out of eight teams at the par-72, 6,114-yard Windance Country Club hosted by Sun Belt Conference foes ULM and Southern Miss.

Grace Petzold led the Dukes with a 2-0-1 record, winning both matches on Monday before tying in her final match against Pavarisa Jongpittaporn (Memphis). Petzold finished 1UP on Missouri State's Kiser Pannier and recorded a 2UP decision in Monday's second match against Little Rock's Petra Balkovec.
