At JMU: Fifth-year Duke with the potential to be among the A-10’s top defensive tackles if he has overcome physical problems of the last three seasons, said DL coach George Barlow… limited to four games in both 2001 and 2002 and missed 2003… has played very well when he’s been available, Barlow said.
2002: Played in JMU’s first four games and had three QB hurries… had a career-high seven tackles (two primary, one for loss) vs. Florida Atlantic before leaving the Hofstra game the next week and missing the rest of the year… had two stops vs. Hampton, New Hampshire and Hofstra.
2001: Played in JMU’s first four games as a red-shirt freshman… had three primary tackles at New Hampshire… had two primary stops vs. Elon and was involved in two stops vs. Rhode Island and Maine… took part in a sack vs. Rhode Island.
High School: Three-time all-district at Denbigh… team's most inspirational player as a freshman and defensive MVP as a sophomore and junior… MVP and district shot put winner in track as a senior… second in the district as a junior and third as a sophomore.
Personal: Brandon Wayne Beach… born Jan. 23, 1981… kinesiology major with a concentration in exercise science and leadership.
