RICHMOND, Va., April 21, 2007 ? The James Madison University men's tennis team was eliminated from the CAA tournament by William & Mary yesterday afternoon 4-0. The tribe move on to face Old Dominion and the Dukes conclude their season with a 7-12 mark.
The Tribe took the doubles point with an 8-3 win at number two by Richard Wardell and Dominic Pagon over the Dukes' Carlin Campbell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) and Brian Clay (Chantilly, Va./Westfield). Kavi Sud and Alex Zuck earned the win at number three for William & Mary by downing John Snead (Richmond, Va./J.R. Tucker) and Brian Rubenstein (East Hampron, N.Y., East Hampton), 8-3.
In singles, the Tribe's Keziel Juneau moved into the number one spot to top JMU's Jesse Tarr (Midlothian, Va./Clover Hill), 6-2, 6-3. Marwan Ramadon earned another point for William & Mary with his 6-1, 6-0 win over the Dukes' Snead at number two. Wardell then capped off the victory with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over the Duke's Rubenstein in the sixth spot.
