NORFOLK, Va., March 30, 2012 - In its second Colonial Athletic Association match of the season, the James Madison men's tennis team swept Delaware 7-0. The Dukes dropped the first doubles match 8-7 before storming back for the final two doubles matches and all six singles matches to earn the win.
At the No. 1 singles position Troy Beneck and Adam Lawton squeaked by the Dukes' Bertrand Moulin (Lyon, France/Aux Lazaristes Minimes(Wayne State)) and Greg Vladimirsky (Coral Springs, Fla./Broward Virtual) 8-7. The win put the Blue Hens in position to grab the doubles point but JMU didn't back down. In the two hole, Ryan Pool (Melbourne, Australia/Braemar(Chattanooga)) and Florent Sentenac (Borderes, France/Lycee Theophile Gautier(Auburn Montgomery)) topped Andrey Vorobyov and Ryan Kent 8-6, and Tommi Nissinen (Oulu, Finland/Kastellin Lukio) and Hugo Ramadier (Rome, Italy/Lycee Francais Chateabriand (Northern Arizona)) downed Nolan Gelman and Evan Andrews in a tight 9-7 match at No. 3 doubles to earn the point for JMU.

At No.3 singles, Sentenac defeated Vorobyov ,6-4, 6-1 and Moulin topped Kent in No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-3.
In No. 2 singles, Lawton took Pool three sets in the most tightly-contested match of the day. Pool was able to overcome, however, winning 1-6, 6-1, 11-9. At the No. 4 spot, Ramadier faltered slightly in the second set, but earned the 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 win to ensure the JMU sweep.
