STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – James Madison cross country got back on the course at the Penn State National Open on Friday morning. The Dukes finished 27
th as a team in the women's 6K as the Nittany Lions won the meet.

RACE RECAP
- JMU competed against seven teams either receiving votes or who are ranked, including Michigan State who is ranked 14th
- Five JMU runners set personal records in the 6K
- Kayla Connelly has now set back-to-back personal bests in the 6K as she is setting her sights on the CAA Championship
- Erica Jackson set a personal record in the 6K, her personal best was last set at the CAA Championships during the 2017 season.
- Averi Witt registered a 21 second improvement in her 6K time
- Lanie Jo Knight set a nearly 20 second personal best time
- Grace Edison ran 20 seconds faster this weekend to set a new personal best, last race she finished in 24:03.
