STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. - The James Madison women's golf team closed out play at Eagle's Landing Country Club on Tuesday afternoon, taking home 14th place at the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate, hosted by Georgia State on the club's par-72, 6,043-yard Creek/Lake course.
The Dukes carded a 322 as a team on Tuesday, finishing the day just two strokes back of Morehead State at the 17-team event.
Senior
Laura Gomez-Ruiz continued to lead the Dukes, notching her seventh top-20 finish in nine events this season by finishing in a tie for 17th after a final-round 4-over 76 pushed her four spots up the leaderboard.
Sophomore
Lauren Comegys moved up a spot herself, closing with a 79 that put her in a tie for 58th, while senior
Gabrielle Weiss closed the week in a tie for 70th after an 82 on her final day. Senior
Maddisen Cox and junior
Katie Turk closed out the JMU scoring with rounds of 85, wrapping up the tournament in ties for 75th and 63rd, respectively.

The Dukes will be back in action in just a few days, as they head back south to Morganton, N.C. to close the regular season at the 2018 Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate, hosted by Appalachian State on April 1-2.
