WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – James Madison men's tennis saw its season end with a 4-0 defeat to top-seeded UNCW in the semifinals of the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Tennis Championships on Saturday at the Millie West Tennis Center.

The Dukes concluded the 2021 spring season with an 8-8 overall record, while the Seahawks advanced to the CAA title match with a record of 14-5.

Oscar Hernandez had forced extra games on court two, but it was left unfinished, at 6-5, once the Seahawks had secured the 1-0 lead.

The Dukes were unable to steal away the momentum in singles play. UNCW won the first three singles matches on courts six, two, and one to clinch the match.

Matches on courts three, four, and five were left unfinished. Hernandez held a 2-1 lead in the second set on court four when the match went final.
