ELON, N.C. – James Madison men's tennis finished the final day of competition of the Elon Fall Invitational on Sunday at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
Junior
Holden Koons played the only singles match of the day for the Dukes in the consolation finals of the Maroon Singles Flight. He lost a close match to Charlotte's Coy Simon, 6-3, 7-5.
Two doubles teams also played today for the Dukes. Koons and senior
William Karpinski came up just short against Thomas Brown and Mikhail Sokolovskiy from Charlotte, 6-4.
Sophomore
Oscar Hernandez and redshirt freshman
Youssef Sadek were the second doubles duo to compete. They lost in the third-place match in the Maroon Doubles Flight to William Crane and Manfredi Vergine from Radford by a score of 6-3.
UP NEXT
The Dukes will compete in the ITA All-American Championships, beginning on Oct. 2 in Tulsa, Okla.
