CLEVELAND – James Madison was well-represented on the 2024 Field Hockey Academic All-MAC Team with 11 players honored, as announced by the Mid-American Conference on Wednesday afternoon.

To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests scheduled or completed in the particular sport. First-year students and ANY transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.

App State paced the league with 15 student-athletes, followed by Ohio (14), Central Michigan (12), Kent State (12), Miami (Ohio) (12), JMU (11), Ball State (9), Bellarmine (7) and Longwood (5).

The Dukes had six student-athletes with a GPA of 3.5 or better, highlighted by a perfect 4.00 from graduate student
