MANHAWKIN, N.J. –
Alice Roeper of James Madison field hockey earned South Region First Team honors, while
Skyler Brown and
Cassidy Strittmatter were Second Team selections, announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Wednesday.

All three were tabbed all-region for the first time in their careers. JMU has had at least one player garner all-region status in six consecutive seasons

Roeper wrapped up her junior campaign with a team-best 35 points off 15 goals, including five game-winning goals, and five assists on her way to being named Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year. The Delft, Netherlands product produced three multi-goal games, including her first collegiate hat trick with three goals at Queens (N.C.) on Sept. 29.

Brown finished with five goals and two assists for 12 points, and was credited with game-winning goals against Villanova (Aug. 30) and Richmond (Oct. 6). The midfielder earned All-MAC Tournament Team laurels after producing a goal and an assist in the Mid-American Conference Semifinal versus Kent State on Nov. 7.

Strittmatter, an All-MAC First Team honoree, completed her JMU career with ten goals and four assists for 24 points in her senior season. The Tabernacle, N.J. native scored the Dukes' first Mid-American Conference goal in a 2-1 win at Miami (Ohio) (Sept. 20).

The Dukes finished 14-6 (7-1 MAC), tying for the MAC regular-season title and finishing runner-up at the league tournament. JMU's 14 wins are tied for the most for the program since 2014, while six players earned All-MAC status.
