MONROE, La. – James Madison women's tennis took control early and won four of six singles matches in straight sets en route to a 7-0 Sun Belt Conference women's tennis victory at ULM on Thursday afternoon at Heard Stadium.
The Dukes evened their record to 7-7 on the spring while rising to 3-2 in Sun Belt play. The Warhawks fell to 1-12 overall and 0-5 in league matches.
JMU improved to 2-0 all-time against ULM, having won both matches by a 7-0 margin in each of the past two seasons.
The Dukes won two of three doubles matches and all six singles bouts for the final result.

Alexandra Prudente and
Sara Sadadinovic produced singles victories.
The Dukes won four of six singles matches in straight sets, and the final two wins came by way of a comeback and super-tiebreak triumph.

Doubles Play
- The tandem of Hope Moulin and Matko cruised to a 6-1 victory against Raquel Alvaro and Mackenzie King on court three, as the duo improved to 4-0 this year as a team.
- ULM evened things up on court two, where Angela Del Campo Suarez and Giovanna Pereira downed Broerman and Prudente, 6-4.
- JMU clinched the doubles point on court one, as Munteanu and Oliveira slid past Tamara Bachmann and Alice Klinteby, 7-5.
Singles Play
- JMU quickly moved the lead to 2-0, as Sadadinovic rolled to a 6-3, 6-2 win over King on court six.
- Prudente won her fifth straight singles match with her triumph on court five, defeating Bachmann, 6-3, 6-3.
- Munteanu clinched the match over on court one, as she claimed a 6-3, 6-3 win versus Klinteby. It was her fourth straight victory, as she moved to 9-3 this spring and 5-2 at the top singles spot.
- Oliveira held off Mariam Hatem in a second-set tiebreak to win her match on court two by scores of 6-2, 7-6 (5).
- Broerman won a third singles bout in a row on court three, where she rallied back from a set deficit, rolling in the second and tiebreaker to beat Del Campo Suarez, 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (3).
- Matko closed out the day with another comeback triumph while staving off a match point. After splitting sets, she found herself down 8-3 before squaring the super at 8-8. Down 9-8, she overcame a match point for Pereira, winning three straight points for an 11-9 victory. She won the match and secured the 7-0 sweep by scores of 6-7 (3), 5-3, 1-0 (9).
