HARRISONBURG, Va. -- James Madison men's tennis has promoted Vidit Vaghela to the position of Associate Head Coach, as announced by Head Coach Steve Secord Thursday afternoon. Â
"I am excited to recognize Vidit as our Associate Head Coach," Secord said. "Vidit has been unwavering in his dedication to the development of each member of our program. His focus in recruiting, training, and competition has helped define the culture of our team!"Â
In his elevated role, Vaghela will serve as the primary recruiting coordinator for the men's tennis program. Additionally, Vaghela will oversee all video and analytics operations. Â Vaghela will also lead individual and group training sessions for all JMU student athletes in the program. Â
"The relationships that Vidit builds with our Student-Athletes is evident in the rise in the level of their play on the court, but also assisting them in becoming good men! I am grateful to work together with Vidit and congratulate him on this much deserved new title. Go Dukes!"Â
Over his two seasons, the Dukes have gone 20-20, which included a 13-8 record in 2025-26 and berth in the Sun Belt quarterfinals after finishing sixth in the Sun Belt rankings. JMU also went 7-12 in his first year while reaching the Sun Belt Championship.Â
James Madison is in action this weekend at the Navy Invitational from Nov. 6-8. Â
