WILLIAMSBURG, Va., Feb. 22, 2009 ? The James Madison men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at William & Mary on Sunday. The Dukes fell to 0-8 with the loss while the Tribe improved to 11-6.
Senior Brian Rubenstein (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) recorded a three-set win in No. 5 singles to record JMU's only point of the match. Rubenstein beat W&M's Ben Wirth 6-3, 6-7, 10-8.
Freshman Tommi Nissinen (Oulu, Finland/Kastellin lukio) forced his match to the limit but was unable to outlast Dominic Pagon, falling 3-6, 6-3, 11-9.
