CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – A 4-3 loss at Radford snapped James Madison's six-match win-streak in non-conference men's tennis action on Wednesday afternoon.
The Dukes (11-7, 2-1 CAA) earned the opening point with a 2-1 edge over the Highlanders in doubles, but were able to secure just two singles wins, allowing Radford to take the team victory.
Freshman Damon Robertswent 2-0 against Radford across both singles and doubles action. He teamed up with senior Sebastian Salinas for the point-clinching 6-4 doubles win at the No. 2 position before coming from behind at No. 1 singles to take down Rodrigo Magalhaes in three sets (3-6, 6-2, 6-2).
At the No. 6 position, freshman Tate Steinourwon his seventh straight singles match, taking down Carlos Sala in straight 6-3 sets.
