HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison women's tennis remained unbeaten in conference play, using strong play in both doubles and singles to down ULM, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon at East Campus Tennis Courts.
The Dukes improved to 10-5 on the year and 6-0 in Sun Belt Conference matches, while the Warhawks fell to 3-13 overall an 1-4 in the SBC. It was JMU's fourth straight victory, as it moved to 5-0 at home this spring.
Saturday marked JMU's first 7-0 victory as a member of the Sun Belt and its second such score this spring, joining the Jan. 21 triumph versus George Washington.
The Dukes earned a pair of doubles wins and straight-set victories on five of six singles courts.
Leading the way for JMU were

Kylie Moulin and
Ines Oliveira, who each went 2-0, while
Hope Moulin,
Daria Munteanu and
Daniela Voloh each picked up singles victories.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles Play
- JMU earned a pair of 6-2 wins to gain the early 1-0 lead.
- Afanasyeva and Reka Matko cruised past Alice Klinteby and Giovanna Pereira on court three, while Kylie Moulin and Oliveira downed Alessandra Anghel and Angela del Campo Suarez on court one.
- ULM held a 5-3 lead on court two when the match was abandoned due to the doubles point being clinched.
Singles Play
- Voloh wasted no time in singles play, as she brought out the brooms for a 6-0, 6-0 win against Klinteby on court three.
- Kylie Moulin had a strong showing on court one, where she upended Anghel, 6-1, 6-3.
- The match was clinched on court two, as Afanasyeva dropped just two games in a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Balaba.
- The second half of singles on courts four through six featured one dominant performance and a pair of comebacks.
- Hope Moulin conceded a single game in the second set, walking away with a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Tamara Bachmann on court six.
- Munteanu fell behind 3-0 and 4-3 in the first set, as well as 4-3 in the second before coming back for a 6-4, 6-4 win versus Pereira on court five.
- The final bout featured a pair of tiebreaks and a super tiebreaker on court four. Del Campo Suarez rallied to take the first set, but Oliveira made a comeback of her own to claim the second and force a third-set super tiebreaker.
- Oliveira trailed 7-2 in the super but would close on an 8-1 run to defeat del Campo Suarez, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5), 1-0 (8).
CHASING HISTORY
- Daniela Voloh won her 85th career singles match on Saturday, moving her just one victory shy of the program record of 86, set by Emma Peterson (2015-19).
- She also moved into a tie for second with Peterson in combined victories, with 153. Jona Roka (2016-21) holds that all-time record, with 165.
- Also moving up on the combined wins list were Daria Afanasyeva (139 – tied for 5th) and Kylie Moulin (126 – 7th).
