Hannah Rabb collected top 25 finishes to lead James Madison women's golf to a tie for eighth place at the Daniel Island Invitational Tuesday.
Rabb led the Dukes with a tie for 15th on the 75-player leaderboard and three-round score of 218 (+2), both career bests. The native of Watsontown, Pa., also matched her career-low round of 71 (-1) on Monday and carded a 75 and even-par 72 in Tuesday's final round.
In a deep field featuring four teams inside the top 50, JMU finished tied for eighth with a team score of 893 (+29). The Dukes improved their scores every round, finishing with tallies of 301-299-293.
Walsh rose 16 spots on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 23rd her second finish inside the top 25 this season. The native of Midlothian, Va., improved her scores on every lap of the par-72, 6,026-yard Daniel Island Golf Club, finishing with a 70 (-2) in her final round after a 75 and 74 in her first two.
Freshman
Isabella Flores also improved her scores every round, collecting a 54-hole tally of 225 (+9) after rounds of 76-76-73 to finish tied for 42nd.
Lauren Waxer-Gooding (231, +15) and
Kayleigh Reinke (242, +26) rounded out the JMU representation with finishes of t-52nd and t-71
st, respectively.
The Dukes return to action on March 4-6 at the Puerto Rico Classic in Humacao, Puerto Rico.
