BOSTON, Mass. – James Madison track & field scored in 12 out of 20 events to finish to tie for second overall at the ECAC Indoor Championships on Sunday afternoon at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.

The Dukes tallied 79 points to tie with Richmond, while Towson took home the team title with 84 points. Northeastern (4th – 66.5) and Binghamton (5th – 49) rounded out the top five.

How It Happened
- JMU picked up 18 points in the 60-meter hurdles with a 1-2 finish from Jordyn Henderson (8.38) and Kam'Dyn Thomas (8.65). For Thomas, her silver effort places her fifth in the JMU record book.
- The Dukes captured the distance medley relay title in 11:51.97, run by Alayna Gifford, Esther Saint-Germain, Merrick Mock and Kylie Brooks.
- Kaia Putman placed second in the 60-meter dash (7.62), followed by Kyndal Turner (7.70) and Henderson (7.77) for 15 total points. Later, Putman produced a PR of 24.07 in the 200-meter dash for bronze.
- In the 400-meter dash, Holly Mpassy earned silver with a season-best time of 54.39.
- Sofia Terenziani finished the mile in 4:56.92 for sixth to notch three points for the Dukes.
- The quartet of Kristin Giordano, Grace Tate, Izzy Greene and Terenziani produced a season-best time of 9:27.71 for fifth.
- In the field, freshman Madison Greene picked up two points with an effort of 11.34m in the triple jump for seventh.
- Ryann Bennett placed eighth in the shot put with a mark of 12.27m.
