GREENWOOD, Ind. – James Madison sophomore
Harrison Lee has been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's Tennis Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Lee, who garners the award for the first time in his career, currently holds a 3.958 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in accounting. He's been a President's List student in each semester at JMU and was a 2023-24 Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List recipient.
On the court, Lee was in the lineup for 14 of 19 matches, playing primarily at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles. For the year, the Virginia Beach, Va., native was 10-10 in singles play, including a 3-4 mark in dual play. He also tallied a 12-12 doubles mark, which included a 4-7 ledger in dual matches. Lee clinched the deciding point in two matches this past spring, which included JMU's April 13 victory against Southern Miss to clinch a spot in the Sun Belt Championship.
To be eligible, an individual must hold at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA, be a sophomore or older and have played in at least 70% of the team's matches during the spring. This is year three that the sport of tennis has had a standalone team in the Academic All-America® program, with the sport previously falling under the at-large umbrella.
