Agusti, Schmitt Finish Ninth in ITA Atlantic Region Doubles Rankings

TEMPE, Az. – The James Madison men's tennis duo of Esteve Agusti and Aurelien Schmitt were ranked ninth in the year-end Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I Atlantic Region rankings, the organization announced Wednesday.

JMU's top tandem finished the 2024-25 year with a 17-10 doubles record. They began the year on an eight-match win streak and finished 12-3 in fall tournament play. The fall season was highlighted by a doubles quarterfinal appearance at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championship.

During the spring, the duo went 5-7 in dual matches, highlighted by a 2-1 mark in Sun Belt Conference play.

This is the first time in two years that JMU men's tennis individuals have been ranked in the final regional rankings.
