HARRISONBURG, Va., April 3, 2007 - The JMU men's tennis team swept the George Mason Patriots in a home match yesterday afternoon. The Dukes won 7-0 and all but one match was decided in straight sets.
Mike Smith (Fairfax Station, Va./Robinson) won his No. 3 singles match in a tie break 6-3, 3-6 (10-3) over Jay Friedman and was also part of a winning doubles team with Jesse Tarr (Midlothian, Va./Clover Hill).
The Dukes return to the courts on April 5 when they host Norfolk State at 2 p.m.
