HILTON HEAD, S.C., March 3, 2008 ? The JMU men's tennis team continued it's four game tour through South Carolina on Tuesday, losing to Davidson 6-1. The Dukes are now 4-6 on the season and 1-1 on their trip through the Palmetto State.
Freshman Jared Robinson picked up Madison's only win, defeating Davidson's Eric Noble. The South Africa native dropped the first set 2-6 before rebounding to win the next two sets 6-2, 6-3.
The Wildcats took two of the three doubles matches to win the doubles point. JMU got a win from the tandem of senior Carlin Campbell and junior Brian Rubenstein. They defeated Phillip Compeau and Eric Noble 8-6.
Next up for the Dukes is a trip back to Charleston, S.C. where they will take on the Citadel on Thursday before wrapping up their trip in Conway, S.C. with a match against Coastal Carolina on Saturday.
